Programme Outline

Walk in the Park health walks utilise the beautiful and nurturing surroundings of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

We are now one of the best examples of a successful health walk programme in Scotland.  Starting from just seven walkers in Callander, we now support over one hundred walkers; doubling the number of led walks offered during the last year alone.

Join us for a free, fun and easy way to get fit and feel better.  Come along to a walk in Aberfoyle (Mondays), Callander (Tuesdays), Killin (Wednesdays), Balloch (Wednesdays) or Drymen (Thursdays).  We always meet at 10.20am.

All of our walks aim to be accessible and interesting for everyone.

  • They last about 45 minutes

  • The routes are mostly flat, with slight inclines

  • They have good walking surfaces

  • Some are around the town, others out in the countryside

We are looking for Walk Leaders to help lead weekly walks in the National Park.  If you would like to become a Volunteer Walk Leader or get involved with our walk in the park project please contact Cathy Scott, Walk in the Park Coordinator on 01389727748.
