Programme Outline

The Certificate of Work Readiness course is designed to give people the skills and experience needed to succeed in the workplace and to find and sustain entry-level employment or Modern Apprenticeships. WCS are so far the only college in Scotland who are delivering CWR in a supported learning environment. Our students have additional needs including general/specific learning difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We also work with students with other barriers to employment including lack of confidence, qualifications and experience.

The course combines one day a week of college based study with extended, real life work experience with employers in the West Dunbartonshire area. Students are supported by an Employability Advisor throughout the work placement with job coaching available if required.
